The exhibition ‘Until When?’ is a reaction to the long-term apathy rooted in Slovak society; an apathy that chooses an escape from responsibility and the preference for submission to power over the more challenging path of engagement and morality.
Through my work with light and symbols, I reveal how the past has inscribed itself upon our present and the malaise in which we persist. The resulting work is not an answer, but a confrontation with the feeling of being stuck, and a question: Why do we resist the most fundamental principle of living matter – constant evolution? Until when?
